IN A YEAR I DON’T RECALL

XI
The Justice

The Justice card represents, along with the fairness, the truth. As an outcome, the Justice card indicates that the fairest decision will be made. You are being called to account for your actions and be judged accordingly. Notice that Justice’s scales are balanced, thus it’s appearance indicates that events have worked out as they were meant to work out and that what is happening to you comes from the decisions you have made and the actions you have taken in the past. You have what you deserve.

XX
Judgement

You were anointed as a guardian cherub,

ㅤㅤ for so I ordained you.

You were on the holy mount of God;

ㅤ you walked among the fiery stones.

You were blameless in your ways

ㅤ from the day you were created

ㅤ till wickedness was found in you.

Through your widespread trade

ㅤ you were filled with violence,

ㅤ and you sinned.

So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,

ㅤ and I expelled you, guardian cherub,

ㅤ from among the fiery stones.

Your heart became proud

ㅤ on account of your beauty,

and you corrupted your wisdom

ㅤ because of your splendor.

So I threw you to the earth;

ㅤ I made a spectacle of you before kings.

By your many sins and dishonest trade

ㅤ you have desecrated your sanctuaries.

So I made a fire come out from you,

ㅤ and it consumed you,

and I reduced you to ashes on the ground

ㅤ in the sight of all who were watching.

All the nations who knew you

ㅤ are appalled at you;

you have come to a horrible end

ㅤ and will be no more.

Ezekiel 28:14-19

XVI
The Tower

The most important aspect of the Tower is that with any destruction there comes creation. Thus, the Tower card represents an awakening and is about inspiration, freedom, reality and the release from bondage. It is a truth and honesty card that comes as a bolt of lightning to you through a shocking and impactful life event. It represents a necessary experience that forces you to get out of your comfort zone and to grow beyond your present level.

The sudden destruction of the Tower represents the immediacy of change, and the often disorienting effects of that change. Once you hit rock bottom the choice is yours. You can revert to the self-defeating, restrictive Devil, or reach for the transformational and inspirational Star. When you begin to reach for the Star, you will come to realize that your true security and strength lies within yourself and your relationship with the Universe, and not in some false belief system or artificially-created world.

Following a Tower experience, you can rest assured that you will grow stronger, wiser and more serene as you begin to develop a completely new perspective on life that you did not even know existed. These moments in time are necessary for spiritual growth and enlightenment. Truth and honesty will bring about a positive change, even if you must experience pain and anxiety throughout the process.

ONE FOR SORROW,
Version B

One crow for the sorrow

Two for the mirth

Three for a funeral

Four for a birth

Five for Heaven

Six for Hell

Seven crows for the devil himself.

XVII
The Star

And so it must be, for so it is written

On the doorway to paradise

That those who falter and those who fall

Must pay the price

Lord let me find him

That I may see him

Safe behind bars

I will never rest

Till then

This I swear

This I swear

by the stars!

XV
Devil

How you have fallen from heaven,

ㅤㅤmorning star, son of the dawn!

You have been cast down to the earth,

ㅤㅤyou who once laid low the nations!

You said in your heart,

ㅤㅤ“I will ascend to the heavens;

I will raise my throne

ㅤㅤabove the stars of God;

I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,

ㅤㅤon the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.”

But you are brought down

ㅤㅤto the realm of the dead,

to the depths of the pit.

Isaiah 12:14-15
